Background
Led by DAI and funded by USAID, the Indonesia Community-Based Avian Influenza Control (CBAIC) Task Order began in July, 2006. Now in its third year of implementation, the project is building on its earlier work and expanding key activities to reduce the risk of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in village poultry and thereby also reduce the risks of human HPAI infection and the ultimate possibility of an influenza
pandemic.
