Senior Geophysicist

StatoilHydro is seeking a Senior Geophysicist to work in a team evaluating the Karama Block.

The Karama Block is a StatoilHydro operated PSC licence in the deepwater Makassar Strait, offshore West Sulawesi. 2400 sq km of 3D seismic data has been acquired and processed in 2008 and will be evaluated from 2009. Three exploration wells are planned to be drilled in 2010 and 2011. The license partner is Pertamina.

The successful applicant will be engaged in the prospectivity evaluation of the Karama Block and the planning of three Exploration wells. He or she is expected to play a key role in the subsurface evaluation of the Block and will be involved in seismic interpretation and mapping, prospect evaluation and resource estimation. You will also have responsibilities towards time-depth conversion, attribute analysis, and other advanced geophysical studies.

A degree from a recognised university, 10+ years experience in the oil and gas industry is required. A good command of English and willingness to coach staff is necessary. Reporting will be to the General Manager, Exploration.

The position will be located in StatoilHydro s office in Jakarta, Indonesia. Start date is anticipated as End of this Year.

Geologist

StatoilHydro is seeking a Geologist to work in a team evaluating the Karama Block.

Drilling and Tax Accountant

Requirements:
The successful candidate must have the following background, experience and skills:

Responsibilities:
• Secure that all tasks related to financing, controlling and accounting activities are performed within time limits and according to governing documents in Statoil as well as laws and regulations in Indonesia;
• Make sure that the unit has the optimal organisation and the necessary capacity and competence;
• Tax issues;
• Following up drilling operation activity;
• Active cooperation with Finance Manager.

Tasks
• Responsible for Drilling accounting procedures;
• Cost control of drilling activity;
• Controlling of invoice against contract;
• Ensure monthly reporting of and accounting for costs;
• Responsible for ensuring all statutory deadlines are met, and submissions are of a high quality, with a proper audit trail to source data;
• All VAT and tax compliance is handled competently and in good time;
• Responsible for the preparation and filing of all direct and indirect tax reporting;
• Prepare and follow up of forecasts and estimates;
• Follow up on internal reporting;
• Follow un and secure 100% SOX compliance for all relevant processes;
• Establish and follow up relevant procedures for Controlling, Finance and Accounting;
• Advise Finance Manager in all matters regarding finance and controlling.

Required skills (education/experience)
• Master degree in Accounting;
• Minimum 5-8 years experience in the accounting area, including dealing with direct and indirect tax;
• Experience of consolidated reporting;
• Understanding of allocation methodology principles;
• Sound knowledge and experience of SAP and Hyperion;
• Conversant with current accounting and reporting standards.

• High ethical awareness and integrity;
• Team worker and doer;
• Ability to develop good working relationships;
• Fluent in English;
• Good general business understanding;
• Imaginative and results oriented;
• Good communications and relationship skills;
• Negotiation skills.

Accounting Assistant

Requirements:

The successful candidate must have the following background, experience and skills:

Tasks/Responsibilities
• Scanning of invoices and G/L document;
• Checking the invoice against purchase order and contract;
• Entry/processing invoices;
• Handling with holding tax and with holding VAT;
• Intercompany debit/credit note in SAP;
• Responsible for reconciliation of supplier statement, interest note and all payable and receivable account;
• Assist with monthly reporting and accounting for costs;
• Assist for the preparation and filing of all direct and indirect tax reporting;
• Assist prepare and follow up of forecasts and estimates;
• Assist SOX reporting and filing;
• Filing of G/L document, invoices and other accounting documents.

Required skills (education/experience)
• BA degree in Accounting;
• Minimum 0-3 years experience in the accounting area, including dealing with direct and indirect tax;
• Knowledge and experience of SAP, Hyperion and Excel;
• General accounting knowledge.

Personal qualities
• High ethical awareness and integrity;
• Team worker and doer;
• Accurate, precise and systematically;
• Ability to develop good working relationships;
• Fluent in English;
• Good general business understanding;
